Jun 18, 2006Japan's Citizen Watch engineer Yasuji Hirosawa displays the prototype model of thumb sized micro robot "Eco-Be", equipped with two step motors to drive both wheels independently, controlled by infrared remote controler in Tokyo. The tiny sized robot, measuring 1.8 cm wide and 2.5 cm tall, enables it to move forwards, backwards and turn with a maximum speed of 2.5 cm per second. The robots will exhibit soccer games at the RoboCup in Germany in June.
