Daniel Day-Lewis may replace Javier Bardem in the Broadway musical Nine

If you show perseverance, you win. This proves right as Daniel Day-Lewis seems to be replacing Javier Bardem in the Broadway musical Nine. Bardem, who received the Oscar award in the year 2008 for the Best Supporting Actor category refused to work in the film version of the musical giving an excuse of being too tired after 2007.  This led the producers to think about an alternative and what an alternative they found out. They decided to go with actor Day-Lewis, who for his great performance in There Will Be Blood won the Best Actor Academy Award.

If the talks go on fine, then Day-Lewis will play Guido Contini, a director who is caught in with many women in his life. These women include Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench. Marion Cotillard and Nicole Kidman. Day-Lewis is very choosey when it comes to taking movies and he has signed only three movies in 10 years time. The extremely private star is known for taking long gaps between accepting films.
