Bobby Moresco & Castro’s daughter to work on a film
Oscar winning writer-producer Bobby Moresco, Crash fame, is joining hands with Austin-based Artists Relations Group to make a film on the life of Alina Fernandez, the only daughter of Fidel Castro, the Cuban leader. Moresco might as well produce the film. Alina Fernandez lived her childhood in the shadows of her country home came to know about the existence of her father at the age of 10.
She had no idea, the man who visits them at night and whom she used to see in TV everyday was her father. She was born when Castro was still legally married to his first wife. She has been since then living in the United States after she escaped as a Spanish tourist out of the country. The film will have multiple subplots and will be nothing like a biopic. It is expected bring out the differing perspectives of Cuba and US. Frenandez, who is known for her outspokenness will work as a story consultant in the film. The Lamy Group will be providing the finance for this project.
