Ban lifted on gay marriages: Ellen DeGeneres ready to tie the knot!
After the California Supreme Court lifted the ban on gay marriage s, somebody is very happy. Ellen DeGeneres, the The Ellen DeGeneres Show fame has been raving about it for some time now. Now, she can happily plan to wed her longtime girlfriend Portia De Rossi. The couple was facing it hard as the laws in California didn’t allow gay marriage.  DeGeneres also was found stating that the ban seems as if the right to vote has been taken from women.
 After the ban was lifted, she was heard saying that she will be the first to tie the knot. She had even raised a voice against the unfair ban and has been helped by many celebrities like Madonna, who had recorded a message for the couple. When the man-woman marriage doesn’t seem a concrete reason to stay loyal to each other let’s see, if the gay marriages are better.
