Prince Caspian, the second instalment of The Chronicles of Narnia, which is due for world-wide summer release on May 16, 2008. “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian,” is on an even more ambitious scale than The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (the first instalment in the Chronicles of Narnia series) and will feature bigger battles, more effects shots, more CGI creatures and some of the largest sets ever created for a Hollywood movie. Daunting it is to imagine oneself being the only survivor on a wilderness or an uninhabited island. A tangible theme for a feature, yet not many movies try to explore a scene of total solitude from human race. One forceful reason may be that it is hard to hold the audience single-handedly (for any performer), without any entertaining situations arising out of interaction with ones own kind or warmth of relationships in the life of lead actor. 
Beowulf and Grendel is a touching story of vengeance, mercy and helplessness in the conflict between Norsemen and Christianity. It is based on the poem of the same name written between the seventh and eleventh centuries. The film scores in depicting the dark story against the craggy mountainous backdrop of Iceland. It also includes a chilling portrayal of death as a bone white creature of the sea, with dangerous claw like digits that grab the victim out of the blue. 
Enchanted is a classic fairy tale about a princess Giselle who lands up in New York city due to a spell cast by an evil queen. After her arrival in New York she meets a divorce attorney and starts staying with him as she has nowhere to go. Let us however start at the beginning. Princess Giselle, played by Amy Adams meets and falls in love with Prince Edward essayed by James Marsden and they decided to get married. However, the prince’s stepmother Queen Narissa portrayed by Susan Sarandon is against the marriage as it will deprive her of power and control over the kingdom. So she disguises herself as an old woman and tricks Princess Giselle in to falling in to a wishing well. 
Fred Claus starring Vince Vaughn is meant to be a jolly, good- humored Christmas tale and does succeed to an extent. So we have Fred Claus, the not so famous brother of Santa Claus who has fallen on bad times and seeks his good brother’s help to bail him out of a messy situation. Santa agrees to help his sibling provided Fred comes to the North Pole to help out in the week before Christmas. 
When a trend has begun, there is no stopping the followers. Fads, though short lived, almost possess people into doing what is “in”. Right now, I suppose the trend points towards a magical bend of the directors and script writer’s wrist. You see, the public is bored of our own mundane, bad world and want to enter another realm which takes them deep into the world of fantasies and enthralls them, if only for an hour or two. Take the Harry Potter series, or Lord of the Rings for example sake. And now, we have another one jump onto the band wagon. This is Stardust. 
Shemaroo Entertainment has released one of the most adventurous and the most controversial thriller based on a true incident, ‘Philadelphia Experiment’. This film which became a cult movie has won the best film award at the Fanta Festival. Directed by Stewart Raffill, the movie stars Michael Pare and Nancy Allen, where Nancy Allen was nominated in the best actress category for the Saturn Award. 
This is really unfair. If god is honestly just materializing in front of people and giving them the opportunity to become him, I want in! How come this does not happen to normal people?! Yes, you might think this is the hysterical outburst of a small child, but truly, when you see films like this don’t you just want to scream? I thought Bruce Almighty was a mistake that Jim Carrey made. Of course, he made the mistake more watch able, but it was mistake nonetheless. Just when I had thought that was behind me, here comes Evan Almighty - the sequel! Tom Shadyak sure does not believe in learning from mistakes otherwise he would never make this film. 
Oh yes! There is nothing better than something really tasty to eat and something really great to watch. The combination of the appeasement of these two senses is of vital importance to me and once the two are satiated, I’m one happy person. Some films are so great that they make you forget what is happening in your world because they pull you into theirs. 
Mostly everyone who has been following the Harry Potter series knows that a phoenix is a bird that crumbles up on its death bed, but rises from its own ashes to live again. Immortal is the word that fits perfectly for this mythical creature. Immortal seems to be what J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter is turning into as the queues for the latest movie and the pre booking for the last book seems to be ceaseless. Everyone wants to know what happens to their dear little wizard. And those who don’t follow the books, well, they just want to see what the fuss is all about.
