A 24-year-old computer engineer, Pragjyoti Samal, who hails from Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, won the much envied prize money of Rs one crore.
Pragjyoti, a former Cognizant Technical Solutions, Kolkata, employee hopes to follow her dreams with the money. Her father and brother are army people and she quit her job to do higher studies. Pragjyoti shot for this winning episode on May 5th and since then, it has been a dream come true for her. But as instructed, she didn’t share this truth with her friends and family, only her mother who accompanied her to the show. She describes that the studio audience was excited and waited breathlessly for someone to win a big amount. Pragjyoti confesses that she went to the show with the aim to win some money but she had not thought of this large an amount.
Pragjyoti confesses that she is not really a fan of Shah Rukh but she liked his films like Swades and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. However after meeting him in person has made her a big fan of his. SRK made it very comfortable for her and she didn’t feel she was meeting him for the first time. Pragjyoti was a good student in school and college and she always believed in her intelligence. She is full of praise of the studio audience, Shah Rukh and the kids.
Pragjyoti hopes to pursue further studies and invest the rest of the money wisely. She states that she bought her freedom with the money. She confessed that before going to a good café, she and her friends used to think twice and now that wont be a case again. She believes in traveling by train and take flight only when she doesn’t have time.
