Sonam Kapoor wasn’t offered Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi!
Anushka Sharam, the 18-year old lass from Bangalore stunned all by pairing opposite Shah Rukh in Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. However, the rumor had it that this film was initially offered to Sonam Kapoor, the Saawariya girl. The girl says she is just happy that the announcement has finally been made on the female lead in the film.
Like any budding actor, she has been visiting Yash Raj Films, which she thinks might have sparked off the speculation of her getting the film. The girl says, the film required a full Punjabi girl and she already has done similar stints with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Dilli 6 and her debut film Saawariya also saw her in fully Indian cloths and she wants to change the image now. Sonam is in no hurry to sign films and she has the best advisor Bollywood has, her father Anil Kapoor. She didn’t sign Anurag Basu’s Kites as it required a lot of skin show. The film opposite Hrithik finally fell into the lap of Latin actress Barbara Moriis. She is confident of not doing any roles that will mar her image and she doesn’t want to shy away at the premier with her family around. So, we just hope, she gets the kind of roles she wants to do, else, we wont really be seeing much of her!
