The teeny-minnie model from Bangalore Anushka Sharma has been chosen to play the lead against King Khan in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. This lucky 19-year-old has been chosen solely based on her naïve and simple looks, which will fit the bill of playing a small-town girl from Punjab. Though she has absolutely no experience in acting, Yash Raj Films chief Yash Chopra is quite hopeful about her and seems to think, she can even make a presence in spite of Shah Rukh being in the film.
Now, that is a launchpad any newbie would hope to get and keeping in mind the beautiful actresses who have been part of the Yash Raj Films will swear of coming out as experienced and seasoned actress after working with the film maker. So, it is just a matter of time that Anushka starts speaking about her experience with them full of praise. The film goes on floors in mid-May will be released in December.
