Movie Review: Housefull 3

Published on

Some of the movies forced film critics to have second thoughts about their job for the sheer trauma of watching such movies and reviewing them. The latest release Housefull 3 is one of them. It’s a senseless comedy without story (quit expected from sajid: D) which you ought to avoid in order sparing your senses from the pain of bearing them.

See I have decent patience for bad movies but I couldn’t manage to sit through this latest franchise of houseful.

However let’s continue with the story (?)…

Well, if you have seen earlier parts, you already aware about sajid’s “leave your brain behind” affair. So, the basic story of this insensitive comedy starts with ‘Batook Patel (Boman Irani) a London based businessman with three daughters. Yes you guessed it right these are our heroin’s Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon. Now don’t ask me there character names because they are props in the film (lol ;)). Hmmm so our rich businessman papa Batook won’t let them marry due to ulterior intentions and our three heroes Sandy (Akshay Kumar), Bunty (Abhishek Bachchan) and Teddy (Riteish Deshmukh) fall for his daughters and their wealth!

To induce batook for marriage, the three made-up to be handicapped, Sandy plays to be a wheel-chair dependent, Teddy pretends to be a blind and Bunty act as if mute. Hence starts the roller coaster ride of lies and madness, till you almost run out to the screen and say stop it I can’t bare this anymore.

The movie is fully stuffed with pakau jokes like Bahar latakte hain- Let’s hang out, Bandook ka beta- Son of a Gun, Thandi dawai lo- Take a chill pill. Seriously guys my WhatsApp group is more comedy than this.
Wait wait don’t pull your hair out there are some playful songs like Pyar Ki Maa Ki and Tang Uthake. That can tickle you for some minutes.

If you can manage to leave your brain and want to contribute some charities for movie go for it. God bless you :D.

That was an honest review, but the box office collection give a different story. HOUSEFULL 3 is the second film of the year to earn more than Rs 100 crore in just four days, first film being SRK’s FAN.

#Housefull3 scores big in international markets too… Collects $ 4 million [? 26.77 cr] in its opening weekend. SUPERB!”, “#Housefull3 Fri 15.21 cr, Sat 16.30 cr, Sun 21.80 cr, Mon 8.25 cr. Total: ? 61.56 cr. India biz… Should cross ? 80 cr in Week 1… SUPERB
