Aaja Nachle: Madhuri Nachle
‘Aaja Nachle’ is best known as the welcome call to Madhuri Dixit. Yes, the fans have been missing her a lot for the past five years. Now she is reborn and is getting ready to hoist the flag of victory in her second coming through the Anil Mehta film. ‘Aaja Nachle’ is the story of Dia, the New York- based choreographer played by Madhuri. She was brought to India in a mission to save one of the theaters in India which was owned by her dance Guru Makarand (Darshan Jariwala). She promised her Guru that she will save the Ajanta Theater from going into the hands of the builders. To prove her ability, she has been given just two months’ time.

Madhuri Dixit in Aaja Nachle
Dia’s love life plays an inevitable component in the movie. She deceived her parents when she eloped with her lover, an American photographer. Feelings humiliated by the deeds of their daughter, Dia’s parents sell off their house in the village and moves to an undisclosed place. Thus Dia had taken an oath that she would never return to the village that ridiculed her parents and her. However, the destiny calls her back to the same village in the form of her Guru. Now it is the biggest challenge for Dia to convince the villagers about her role that has been offered by her Guru and seek their help to save the Ajantha Theater that has been the backbone of the art forms in the village.
Overall, the movie does not offer anything exciting to the viewers, except the new look of Madhuri Dixit. Madhuri too is not in her full form. However, it is pleasant to watch her acting and dancing in the natural way. She proves the fact that the inborn talent shows it to the world, no matter whether you are young or not. There are other attractions as well in the movie. Leaving out Madhuri, you have Akshay Khanna, Konkona Sen, Jugal Hansraj, and many more like that.

The most attractive feature of the movie is the opera played by the villagers on the Laila-Majnu story. We can see that Anil Mehta succeeded in giving the life to the classic love story through the big screen. However, it stops there! The rest of the plots in the movie do not offer much to the anxiously waiting crowd who wanted to see a gorgeous comeback of Madhuri.
It is not the fault of the actors, we should say. It is the director who has to be blamed if the movie goes flop. ‘Aaja Nachle’ falters as it does not have a cohesive script and a strong main plot. After watching the movie, you will realize that a lot of elements are missing in between the plots.
Kunal Kapoor, Konkana Sen Sharma in Aaja Nachle
The music in the movie is given by Sulaiman and Salim Merchant. There are a couple of good songs such as the ‘Aaja Nachle’ and ‘Show me your jwala’. The medley that is inculcated in this movie is a good mood twister from the dull episode of the entire movie.
Overall, the movie can be rated as an average with nothing good to offer for the audience except the good acting put forth by the stars.

I saw the movie last nite. Was ok is all I can say. Madhuri was not impressive.
She looks old and a bit haggard 
May be too much fitness exercising took the toll on her.
Rest of the cast were fun. Konkana and Kunal chemistry is evolving so well, esp after seeing them paired in Laage chunari mein daag.
Overall an ok movie. The controversial words from the song have been edited while being played on the fm radio.

Hi, I saw the movie on 1st Dec. It was just superb. Especially, I liked Konkana Sen in the movie and her wierd role. Madhuri as usual was authentic. Her dances especially was the thing I was missing a lot. I am very happy.

Alas! Madhuri is still sexy at 40 as she wasten yrs earlier….and nw she is even more sexy….but her tummy is good nah????!:)
