Farhan Akhtar’s Rock On
Rock On is the next film by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It went to floors on Jan 7. The film is being done in Mumbai. The film revolves around four young boys who put together a rock band. Ten years hence, fate conspires to bring them together again and set them on a journey back to where they left off. A soul searching pilgrimage into their past.
This movie gives birth to a new TV actress - Prachi Desai. Prachi has a new and nifty look in the film in compared to her original look on TV. Adhuna Akhtar has worked on her hair; Shabana and Niharika Khan worked on her make up and costumes respectively.
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment, the film is being directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Rock On stars Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli, Sahana Goswami and Luke Kenny. Music for the film is composed by Shankar, Eshaan and Loy with lyrics by Javed Akhtar and cinematography by Jason West. The film is scheduled to release in mid 2008.

ROCK ON!!…its 2gud! each Nd every song…mind u! ek-ek gaana mere dimaag mein chadha hua hai! “pichhle saat dinon mein” iz my favourite [4one reason dat FARHAN AKHTAR haz sung it Nd 2nd…dat d lyrics R so gud…”meri laundry ka ek bill…ek aadhi padhi novel” tokz abt wat d singer haz lost in d last 7dayz!] especially d live version…Nd d oder songz R also awesome!!! ekdum kool gaane hain…totally ROCKing!!! “tum ho toh” iz a very soft ballad…farhan akhtar has done wonderz by hiz voice…man!!! 6 outta 9 songz…all R just gr8!!! hiz husky voice…Ooooh! sexy…

The expectations are high with Farhan Akhtar around, considering his stellar performance as a director in movies like Dil chahta hai, Lakshya, and Don…I can only wish him all the very best as an actor and as a singer as well…

dialogues were drab….. but amazing Music,….. tremendous energy and the chemistry between the band members was too good…. Luved the starting song of the movie ” Socha Hai”….
Farhan Akhtar is one talented man!!! …. Hats off to him…. he has proved himself in the directing, acting and singing and looks (be it the Hippie rockstar or the stern corporate look…he carried himself off well) departments…. ROCKSTAR in true sense……. Arjun Rampal looked his part well….. and he looked awesome too!!!……… Purab was too cute in the ” I will survive performance”….. Luke Kenny completed the quartet but need to work on his dialogue delivery… ” Tum ho toh” touches the heart… amazing vocal sby Akhtar n Arjun….
Kudos to the entire “Rock on!!!” team….
