Festival season is upon us once again and with it comes the flurry of films too. A certain actress has been trying desperately hard to get in the good books of the crème de la crème of Bollywood. Oh, why beat around the bush, I am obviously talking about Kareena Kapoor. You see, sometime last year, she finally woke up to the fact that she no longer has any plum projects at hand and all her contemporaries are way ahead of her. Since then, she has wasted little time and has been gushing and raving about the Johar camp. Even on Karan’s show, she could not stop stating how close she was to him and how much she loved him and his friendship. Yea rite, there was sincerity dripping from every single word. Anyway, now she has just proven how serious she is about getting right up there and back on her feet. She actually went to Mannat, Shahrukh’s mansion, and proceeded to have a heart- to- heart chat with him. It was almost like a presentation during which she pointed out how she would be the perfect choice for I, Robot- Shahrukh’s next big film. Oh my god! That is so appalling, that I don’t even know what to say…its bad enough to know that her relationship is in the dumps because of some fling that she is having, but canvassing for roles is really too low even for Bebo. What’s wrong honey, is the Poo part of you dead?

While Bebo has to make do with self- promotion, Esha Deol is better off. At least she has mommy dearest who does it for her. Word is out that mummy Malini is not very happy with the way her daughter’s career has been shaping up. I wonder what happened to the project she was going to produce to re-launch her chahiti beti, but seems like it burned out. Hmm… happens very often na? But taking this in her stride, she did the next best thing. Like every concerned mom, she approached the Bhatt camp and got a movie for Esha in which she will be starring opposite Emraan Hashmi. Well, all I have to say is that it is a sweet gesture and all, but if she thinks an Emraan starrer has promise, she is going to get beti’s career into an unrecognizable and battered shape!

While there are those struggling to stay afloat, there are those whom the stars shine down upon. Ayesha Takia is surely one lucky girl who has managed to enter the big league at a relatively nubile age. This is sure to have irked those who have lost out to this sassy chick because bad luck seems to be following her. Recently, when she was shooting for her next film opposite Akshay Kumar titled Tasveer, she had a very close brush with death. The scene they were shooting for required Takia to maneuver a car with Akki in the passenger seat down a winding slope of a mountain. Turns out, the car got out of control and the pair would have crashed into the ravine below had it not been for Akki’s presence of mind. Whew! That was a close one huh? Everyone on the set was very shaken with this. Ayesha baby, its time you had your mummy take you to the temple in case someone’s evil eye is on you…

My, my! Today’s news has got a lot of varied stuff in store for you. The following bit of news will make your face sour up like a lemon. I always thought Abhay Deol was a sensitive, funny and mature guy. I was really shocked when I came to know that he is also an incorrigible flirt and that he likes to mess around with his co stars. I know! So hard to believe, right? Well, it turns out that during the shooting of the film Manorama Six Feet Under, the female cast literally ran away from Abhay because they really had had enough of him. He was not averse to lying down on their laps, or getting too close for comfort. Both Gul Panag and Raima Sen were uncomfortable with him. A reliable source has even mentioned that he literally forced the director to alter the script in order to accommodate a kissing scene between him and Gul Panag. Not only this, a little birdie told me that he has tried the same tactic in his film Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, but the director did not give in to his demands. So much so for Mr. nice guy huh?

Keeping the varied news theme in mind, I’m even going to veer off my normal gossip to give you something else. Oh it’s nothing too important, just about a certain Nisha Kothari. Don’t worry; no one will blame you if you don’t know who she is. Let’s just say she is a starlet. Seems that Ramu is so smitten with his new muse that she happens to be the only one he pays! The hush- hush word is out that Ramu is not paying anyone for his next venture Go. Anyone besides Nisha, that is. Not only this, the eccentric director even foots the bills on her gambling addiction. Dear Ramu, don’t you think that your taste is slipping way down to the chart? But one man’s poison is another man’s food. So Nisha dahling, please enjoy while it lasts….
