‘Dhol’ is the same wine made by Priyadarshan, but with a different label. After the success of Bhagam Bhag, Priyadarshan is back to entertain the audience with one more entertainer movie. Dhol is a full-time comedy. The story of the movies is formed around four goofies, played by Sam (Tusshar Kapoor), Pakkya (Sharman Joshi), Maru (Rajpal Yadav) and Goti (Kunal Khemu). “This city takes back a lot more than what it gives you…” this line is said by Irrfan Khan in the movie and this is what has struck me as one of the most powerful dialogues in this film. The movie talks about 4 couples and the various trials and tribulations that the great city of Mumbai forces them through for only one thing- survival. (more…)
