Written and directed by one of India’s most acclaimed directors Ketan Mehta, Rang Rasiya is based on a classic Indian novel ‘Raja Ravi Varma’ written by the highly acclaimed, award winning and popular Marathi novelist and playwright ‘Ranjit Desai’. Amidst much fanfare and an enthralled audience on a special occasion of the 160th birthday of Raja Ravi Varma, Ketan Mehta, the award winning director along with the producers, Anand Mahendroo and Deep Sahi announced the completion of their legendary tale - Rang Rasiya. When two different worlds fuse to form one thing, there are two scenarios- the first being that it is a superhero a la Superman himself, or maybe Spiderman. In that case, it is only so much you can do as marvel about the wonders of nature and wish secretly that your superhero saves you one day or better still, your fortunes too take a turn like his.
