After a wonderful display of the crème de la crème of Bollywood, the show has become a hot ticket for those fighting to get to the top as well as those fighting to remain there. In this season, we have seen fun mixes like Shahrukh, Kajol and Rani as well as solo performances by Himesh Reshammiya. Can’t help but mention melodramatic performances by the likes of Rakhi Sawant too. Last week, we had sizzling Bollywood beauties Lara and Katrina. Talking from a coffee lover’s point of view, it is not enough when someone just says “I love coffee!” this could mean a million and one things because it is like saying I love movies. For instance, you could like cappuccinos, but hate frappes, or cold coffee is what gets your engines revving while you would not touch hot coffee with a mile long pole. It is quite unnecessary to state that Koffee with Karan is a show in a different league all together. In his second season, Karan chooses to try something even more different. Of course, his own buddies are the ones mostly adorning his sets, but then again, every now and then, we get a surprise. Not too long back, he actually had Rakhi Sawant on his show. Who would ever expect that? Especially since most of Bollywood choose her as a poster girl for ridicule on the same show. Though, she lived up to her reputation and gave us everything that we expected of her. It was quite a coup, if I say so myself. (more…)

Made a little weak this time. There is no denying the fact that Koffee with Karan is one of the most entertaining and interesting celebrity talk shows in Indian television today. We get everything that we are looking for - stars, gossip, leg pulling, camaraderie and of course, loads of fun. All this over a cup of coffee that we share with our favorite celebs. This season has been extremely successful and the re telecast of last week’s episode was a scorcher because it felt like Karan was with his family -Kajol, Shahrukh and Rani. A complete master blaster of an episode, it left us wanting more. (more…)

So when our very own Karan Johar came back on the small screen with his second season of Koffee with Karan, we all rejoiced and waited to get reacquainted with our very own Bollywood sweethearts. A far cry from the sophisticated and ultra chic Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, Koffee with Karan is younger, hipper and more importantly, focused on our favorite subject-Bollywood. Not to mean that it is not sophisticated-it has the crème de la crème of our industry. And no wonder that only the top league is featured as they all want to be in King Karan’s good books. (more…)
