A fitting end to the Dubai Fashion Week, the ace Bollywood designer surprised everyone by making top movie star Bipasha Basu walk on the ramp for the final show stopper. As for her collection, Lulla went in for a fusion look, merging sheer fabrics with vintage Indian embroidery and a western styling to her ensembles. Her inspiration was ‘Immortal Love’ and for winter 2008 she worked with rich tones of burgundy, brown balancing them with tan and cream. The accent was on the embroidered dresses that were mixed with woolen knits which were Indianised with gold embellishments. (more…)
