So finally Ram Gopal Verma has a lot happening on Fridays. He will be seeing back to back releases with his Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag and Darling. There is absolutely no need for me to once again document the fate of the former in the eyes of the public. Supposedly an ode, or rather a remake, of the cult classic Sholay, this one has everything going wrong for it. Poor Ramu had to stand up to the cruel tongues of media critics and the public likewise. For his sake, I hope Darling gets a far better response. But let’s just do a quick check to see if it’s worth a watch or no.
Over the years, I have seen Sajid Khan trash movies, actors and directors left, right and centre. He dominated the tele tube with shows for the same purpose. Known for his biting sarcasm and stinging humor (reminiscent of American humor), people from the industry are very weary of this host and dost- Sajid Khan. Don’t know about the host bit, but he was not a good dost to a lot of people. Now, after so many bitter years, he had finally come up with his first solo venture as a feature film director and has given us Heyy Babyy. His sister has fit into the director’s shoes quite snugly. Let us see if Sajid Khan fits the bill and follows suit.
