Tulip Joshi plays a suicide bomber in DHOKHA and in reality she happens to be born on 9/11 (September 11′TH). Is that eerie or what? But one more thing Tulip and Pooja Bhatt have something special in common. They share the same ‘ Armenian’ lineage. While Tulip’s mother is pucca Armenian, Pooja’s Grandmother is Armenian as well. It seems kind of ironic that the makers of this film decided to call it Awarapan when it is about how a man’s conscience brings him back from the brink. But then again, maybe there is a whole double entendre to the title; it is supposed to be ironic. What ever said and done, this movie does the talking and is a coup of sorts for the Bhatt camp. Suhail Tatari directs Summer of 2007. The movie is about today’s youth - two faces of India through the eyes of the youth. It’s about India which on one hand is very progressive and is moving very fast and living in the metro. The movie also looks at life outside the metros.
