A certain lack of expressions and a perplexed mind define the exact state I was in, when I sat down to write a review of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sunday. Now, as the name suggests the movie’s well-seasoned plot revolves around one particular ‘Sunday’. Nobody seems have any clues on the incidences that clouded that Sunday. (more…)
Finally, the magical day arrived when the speculations about the release of two big banner movies ( Om Shanti Om and Saawariya) got over and media got a new job of calculating the ups and downs related to these movies all across the world. It seems that both the movies started well with 80 to 100% opening to them on Friday, but according to the rating of different media sources and the audience’ general response, OSO alone is likely to sweep the theaters across the world in the coming days. Saawariya did not rise up to the expectations of Sanjay Leela Bansali’s audience. (more…)

There’s no business like show business- this is something I totally agree with. Why, without it, would our mundane lives seem as interesting? Not that we live because of it, au contraire, show business is because of us. Entertainment is truly under rated, don’t you think? I mean, think of all the trouble that our darlings from Bollywood go through just so we can be a tad amused. Really, I think they don’t get half the credit they deserve. So, in honor of the selfless stars, I dedicate this week’s write up to the wannabes! (more…)
Pardon me if you think the titled is quite rude and hurtful. I am not a brash person by nature and it is uncharacteristic for me to trash a film so ruthlessly. But believe me, you will be thanking me for writing this because if you ever find a poor soul who actually did not read this review, or any other for that matter, the facts will be confirmed. It has been a long time since I have seen such a mindless movie - it is completely appalling. (more…)
Be ready for a roller coaster laughter ride. Shemaroo Entertainment is glad to release yet another Firoz Nadiadwala’s comedy flick ‘Fool N Final’. After the popular Hera Pheri sequels, it is now time for Fool N Final’s rib tickling comedy. The cast of this film is a good mix of great comedians and fine actors like Paresh Rawal, Johny Lever, Asrani, Rajpal Yadav, Javed Jaffrey, Om Puri and Jackie Shroff among others, while Sunny Deol, Shahid Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and Ayesha Takia form the lead cast of the film. Paresh Rawal and Johny Lever share a fantastic chemistry in the film like never before. The duo certainly makes audiences look forward, to some hilarious comical scenes.
