A star-studded evening that this year’s mega event 53rd Fairone Filmfare Awards was, some stars shined out as some took it to heart to miss the glow. The ceremony was held at the Yashraj Studios. The stars who shined were one of the fresh faces of this year Deepika Padukone, she even took home the Best Female Debutante award along with being the most vied for gal in the film industry today. The show brought in two amazing actors Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan managed to make the audience go into spill of laughter by cracking so very realistic jokes on almost everyone including themselves. Finally, the magical day arrived when the speculations about the release of two big banner movies ( Om Shanti Om and Saawariya) got over and media got a new job of calculating the ups and downs related to these movies all across the world. It seems that both the movies started well with 80 to 100% opening to them on Friday, but according to the rating of different media sources and the audience’ general response, OSO alone is likely to sweep the theaters across the world in the coming days. If you were waiting for another thriller this week, you are surely going to be disappointed. Speed, the latest release is all but another flop from Vikram Bhatt. The movie fails to impress even the simple audience because of a series of flaws including the poor script, impromptu direction, below-average acting, and a mixture of plots. Though the movie is supposed to follow the main plot, i.e., the kidnapping of Urmila Matondkar, there are other two plots in the movie that get intertwined with the main plot. Sources have confirmed that Suneil has already paid Rs.10.25 million to Apoorva Lakhia. And guess; who are the actors playing the leading roles. Suneil dropped a bombshell when he revealed that Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi will share the screen space together in his move. To the raised eyebrows, Suneil aptly replied that there is no significance for personal issues in one’s profession. He is right; and both the actors also consented for their roles together.
