Tulip Joshi plays a suicide bomber in DHOKHA and in reality she happens to be born on 9/11 (September 11′TH). Is that eerie or what? But one more thing Tulip and Pooja Bhatt have something special in common. They share the same ‘ Armenian’ lineage. While Tulip’s mother is pucca Armenian, Pooja’s Grandmother is Armenian as well. Tulip has promised to teach Pooja how to speak in Armenian and she is eager to learn.

Anupam, Pooja and Ashutosh Together Again

DHOKHA brings Anupam Kher and Pooja Bhatt back together after ‘Dil Hain Ke Manta Nahin’. Though in an absolutely different Avataar this time. In fact Pooja was so awkward saying ‘Action’ to Anupam because of her long association with him that she insisted her father do the needful out of respect. So Bhatt Saab said ‘Action’ and ‘Cut’ for all of Anupam’s scenes. DHOKHA also brings Ashutosh Rana and Pooja Bhatt together after DUSHMAN, Ashutosh’s electrifying debut. In fact Ashutosh has an equally powerful role in DHOKHA and said yes to the film even before Pooja narrated the role to him.

Aushima Sawhney’s Debut

With film DHOKHA, the Bhatt’s continue their tradition of launching new talent. DHOKHA will see the debut of not one but four new comers- Muzamil Ibrahim and Aushima Sawhney in lead roles and Abhay Sacchar and Raj Saluja in strong, supporting roles. Aushima Sawhney who makes her debut in DHOKHA happens to be the grand-daughter of Romesh Bhandari-Ex Governor of UP. But Aushima Sawhney’s selection was not so easy after auditioning not one, not two, but SIXTY TWO girls. Somwhow all the other girls did not quite fit the bill. But the minute Aushima walked into Pooja’s office, she knew she was perfect for the character of ‘Nandini’ and she was selected for her debut role and hopefully she will get good roles in other films in the future.

Muzamil Ibrahim first introduced himself to Pooja at the music launch of HOLIDAY. A party he gatecrashed in order to meet Pooja! Instead of geeting angry Pooja thought that was quite funny and auditioned him one year later for DHOKHA. Now DHOKHA is going to be released on 31st August and Pooja is leaving no stone unturned to ensure DHOKHA strikes gold at the box office. That is why she has got her lucky mascot Viraj Adhav-dubbing artiste par excellence to lend his voice to Muzamil Ibrahim to ensure that Muzamil’s performance is enhanced in every way. Viraj was that special voice that Pooja had picked for John Abraham in JISM and she is hoping he creates the same kind of magic on screen this time round as well.
