Ayesha’s career boomed after Dor
Ayesha Takia who has slimmed down quite a bit now is all praises for Nagesh Kukunoor’s Dor. The film that showed the world that she can act also proved vital for her booming career. The film industry has started taking her as a serious actor. After Dor, she got good offers from reputed banners like Eight By Ten and Wanted, where she would have serious roles. Kukunoor has repeated Ayesha his film Eight By Ten with Akshay Kumar. Ayesha plays Akshay’s wife in this supernatural thriller.
Ayesha also has De Taali to be shown at International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Bangkok. Speaking about her character Ammu in De Taali, she says that she plays a tomboy and grows up with Reitesh Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani with man’s tastes and habits. The pretty lady also has Boney Kapoor’s Wanted Dead And Alive, which is a remake of hot Tamil film Pokkirii to be directed by dancing sensation Prabhu Deva. Salman Khan plays the lead role with Mahesh Manjrekar and Om Puri in important roles.
Ayesha considers Imtiaz Ali’s Socha Na Tha and she states to look forward to work with himin future as she couldn’t do Jab We Met. In fact, she started working when she was only 4 years old. She also has worked in many music videos. She claims that her entry to Bollywood was easy but she has worked hard to survive. She belongs to a normal Gujarati family and never thought about taking acting as her career. The actress who puts it in the contract not to do steamy scenes in films is dating Farhan Azmi but denies of having any plans of maariage yet.
