New Delhi, July 15 (IANS) Bollywood scriptwriter Abbas Tyrewala, who has created waves with his directorial debut “Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na”, a romantic comedy, is now racking his brains for his next movie, which he says wil be a “naughty adult comedy”. “‘Jaane Tu…’ was a fairly clean film and catered to 21-year-old people. Mumbai, July 15 (IANS) A film festival is being organised here July 17-22 to pay tributes to noted playwright and scriptwriter Vijay Tendulkar, who passed away May 19. Vijay Tendulkar was essentially a Marathi playwright, better known for his hard-hitting plays “Ghashiram Kotwal” and “Sakharam Binder”. Mumbia, July 15 (IANS) “Kabootar”, a violent and “very brutal” film directed by Anubhav Sinha’s former assistant Maqbool Khan, is to be screened Thursday in New Delhi at the 10th Osian’s-Cinefan Film Festival. Sinha is hoping the film will fetch enough accolades to avoid the censor board’s scissors. “Otherwise, it might be ruthlessly chopped off,” Sinha told IANS. (more…)

Bangalore, July 15 (IANS) Director Veera Shankar has completed “Anthoo Inthoo Preethi Banthu”, an emotional drama about IT professionals. Starring Ramya and debutant Audithya Babu, the movie is set to hit the marquee next month. Set in Bangalore, the film is about the emotional stress that a working couple faces and its consequences. “When I heard the story for the first time, I was sure that Bangalore will be the perfect place to shoot the film,” said Shankar, who had directed Telugu film “Gudumba Shankar” and Kannada movie “Namma Basava”.
