Bobby Deol is an excellent human being
Urvashi Sharma and Bobby Deol both are Punjabis and they share this common connection with each other. Bobby everytime would greet Urvashi with a “Ki Haal Hain” - Urvashi said this used to add to her comfort level. She says, “Bobby is a real Punjabi at heart. His heart is as big as Punjab. Though I was making my debut he was so patient and helped me. He is an excellent human being, Even in one sequence which was not choreographed, Bobby literally showed me to dance free style. He was so encouraging. The Deols are true blue Punjabis. Everything about them reflects the spirit of Punjab. They looked so nice together in Apne. They are idolised in Punjab.”
Bobby is also equally impressed with Urvashi and said: “She is the most confident newcomer in Bollywood and though it’s her first film, she has done an excellent job. Very few newcomers get in their debut film a role that is performance-oriented. She will definitely go far.”

The actors also shared stories about Punjab and talked about food, festivals, and other things related to the state. Whenever the cast and crew used to go out for lunch or dinner, Bobby and Urvashi used to go to a Punjabi restaurant and preferred eating typical Punjbai food. Akshaye and Bobby will be romancing Urvashi Sharma in the movie. This is Bobby’s second movie with Abbas-Mustan and also the second time he is acting with Akshaye Khanna after Humraaj.
Bobby Deol plays a millionnaire in Naqaab. His character has shades of grey. His wardrobe alone costs 5 million Rs. He says, “It is an edge-of-the-seat thriller and Abbas and Mustan are the masters in this genre. The suspense is there from the beginning. It will shock the audience. It revolves around the three main characters. Each one has his/her past. If it is revealed, then it will shatter their lives forever. This story has been taken from day-to-day life. Falguni has done a fantastic job. As my character requires a rich look, keeping it in her mind Falguni has made all the characters that way. She has given a different look to the suits, which I wear in the film. Colours are beautifully used. In short, Falguni has given a different dimension to my clothes altogether. Working with Akshaye after Humraaz is good. Akshaye is talented and extremely professional. And above all he is a very good human being. It was a great fun to work with him again.”

Coming to Apne. After Bachchans, deols now plan to tap collective equity. It all depends on how Apne does at the BO. But they do want to come with the right scripts. Bobby feels the long wait for a film featuring the family has been worth it. He says “My father, my brother and I waited all these years to come together. That’s because we didn’t want to do a script that didn’t excite us. I think Apne is the right vehicle for us. I feel Apne is our own film. Everyone who has seen it says the movie has turned out to be an ideal vehicle for the Deol family. I’ve never had more than two releases in a year. So I’m naturally excited. My first release will be the small budget Nanhe Jaisalmer where I play myself. Contrary to rumours, I don’t have a guest appearance in the film. I’m there throughout. All my scenes are with a kid who’s brilliant. It’s a very real film.”
Bobby has six releases scheduled for release in 2007.
